An entire female cat is called a queen, and an entire male cat is called a tom.

Domestic cats are found in short hair and long hair breeds. 

Cats which are not specific breeds can be referred to as 'domestic short hair' or 'domestic longhair'.

But regardless of what cat you have they all require the same basic care & equipment.
